Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 6, 2026
1. Who We Are
StopTDS.com is owned and operated by RWT News LLC, a limited liability company registered in the state of New Mexico, United States. When this policy refers to "we," "us," or "our," it means RWT News LLC.
2. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to operate this site:
- Contact Form Submissions: When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, selected topic, and message. This information is sent to us via email and is not stored in a database.
- Self-Assessment Quiz: Quiz answers and results are processed entirely in your browser. No quiz data is collected, stored, or transmitted to our servers.
- Analytics: We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites. Plausible collects only aggregate data such as page views, referral sources, and general geographic region.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Disqus: Our blog comment system is provided by Disqus. When you interact with Disqus comments, Disqus may collect data according to their own privacy policy. Disqus may set cookies in your browser. Please be aware that Disqus on the free tier may display advertisements and use your data for ad targeting purposes. You can opt out of Disqus interest-based advertising through the Disqus data sharing settings.
- Buy Me a Coffee: Donations are processed through Buy Me a Coffee. If you choose to donate, your payment information is handled by Buy Me a Coffee according to their own privacy policy. We do not collect or store payment information.
- SendGrid: Contact form submissions are delivered via SendGrid, an email delivery service. SendGrid processes the email in transit according to their own privacy policy.
- Plausible Analytics: Privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. No personal data is collected. Learn more at plausible.io/data-policy.
4. Cookies
StopTDS.com itself does not set cookies. However, third-party services embedded on the site (specifically Disqus) may set their own cookies. We do not control these third-party cookies. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
5. How We Use Your Information
Information collected through the contact form is used solely to:
- Respond to your inquiry or feedback
- Review testimonial submissions
- Address reported errors or concerns
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained in our email inbox for as long as necessary to address your inquiry. We do not maintain a separate database of user information. Quiz results are not retained as they never leave your browser.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request information about any personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of any personal data we hold about you
- Opt out of third-party cookies through your browser settings
To exercise these rights, contact us using the contact form or email us at [email protected].
8. Children's Privacy
This site is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.
9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with additional rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to Know: You may request information about the personal data we have collected about you in the past 12 months.
- Right to Delete: You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
- Do Not Sell My Personal Information: We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not have a financial relationship with any data broker or advertiser. The only third-party data collection that may occur on this site is through Disqus (see Section 3 above), which operates under its own privacy policy.
To exercise your California privacy rights, contact us via our contact page or email [email protected].
10. Do Not Track
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal that requests that websites not track user activity. Because StopTDS.com uses Plausible Analytics — which does not track individual users in any form — our analytics practice is already consistent with the intent of DNT signals regardless of your browser setting. We do not otherwise engage in cross-site tracking.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
13. Contact
If you have questions about this privacy policy, please contact us via our contact page or email [email protected].
